Tribute to the Oak

On our golf trip to Eagle Vine Golf course I took a photo of a beautiful Oak Tree.  Later on I decided to do some photo manipulation in Corel Photo Paint and converted it to more of an illustration and changed the colors to three different hues.  I placed the three versions together and printed them on silk inkjet fabric.  It sat around for a week or so until one day I came across a piece of fabric that just happened to have leaves and acorns on it in just the same colors I had printed the trees in.  Now I was off and sewing.  I put the leaf border on and layered the fabric with batting and backing, did some quilting in the trees and around the border.  Added some binding and now I have a nice fall wall hanging.
